Job summary

Thomson Reuters in the United States is seeking a Principal Technical Trainer to join our global team. You will co-create a training program and deliver expert training to customers and partners, empowering them to harness CoCounsel Legal and other products across legal workflows.

You will collaborate with curriculum designers to create content in formats including instructor-led workshops, on-demand and eLearning courses, videos, and certification exams; stay current on AI in legal practice;

Qualifications

  • Requires JD with bar admission in at least one U.S. state.
  • Experience with legal tech and/or AI-based platforms (CoCounsel Legal, Westlaw, Practical Law, Legal Tracker, HighQ).
  • Experience delivering live and virtual training to groups from ~10 to 50+ participants.
  • Ability to design and facilitate practical hands-on learning activities that drive adoption.
  • Strong written and verbal communication; customer-centric and impactful training delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Lead product training focusing on CoCounsel Legal; train on Legal Tracker, HighQ, Westlaw, Practical Law as needed.
  • Deliver multi-client workshops and dedicated sessions onsite or virtually.
  • Identify training needs and delivery methods with stakeholders and customers.
  • Synthesize content from colleagues/external experts to drive AI-first training and CoCounsel expertise.
  • Maintain training assets and collect learner feedback to drive curriculum improvement.

Job Description: Thomson Reuters ONE PS Training Team is seeking an energetic Principal Technical Trainer to join our dynamic, global team. In this role, you’ll co-create a training program and deliver expert training to customers and partners, empowering them to maximize efficiency, streamline workflows, and fully harness the transformative capabilities of our cutting-edge CoCounsel Legal software. As part of a high-profile investment in advanced AI technology, you’ll help customers unlock the full potential of generative AI in legal workflows—making a direct impact at the forefront of legal technology and shaping innovative customer experiences.As a Principal Technical Trainer, you will play a vital role in empowering customers and partners to maximize their use of CoCounsel Legal and other legal products. You will collaborate closely with the Lead Curriculum Designer, Principal Curriculum Designer, Learning Experience Designer, and Professional Services Consultants to help develop a comprehensive training program spanning product, adoption, and business transformation. The base compensation range varies across locations.For any eligible US locations, unless otherwise noted, the base compensation range for this role is $100,100 USD - $185,900 USD.Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity.
