Principal Technical Sourcing Engineer

Mansfield or Minneapolis (Remote)

A Day in the Life

The Principal Technical Sourcing Engineer will develop innovative products impacting renal care worldwide. You will be the main Sourcing contact for Technology and NPD Project Teams, aligning Product and Supplier Technology Roadmaps. Responsibilities include sourcing polymers, films, chemicals, and automated capital equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Identify and communicate sourcing risks early to influence design and supplier development.
• Drive supplier evaluation, selection, development, qualification, and product launch activities.
• Identify new sources where relationships do not yet exist.
• Manage and document overall Project Sourcing Strategies and report at each Phase Gate.
• Monitor component quality, supply risk, costs, response times, and technology advancements for the device BOM.
• Coordinate all sourcing project deliverables.

Must Have:

• Bachelor's degree required
• Minimum of 7 years relevant experience, or 5 years with an advanced degree

Nice to Have:

• Experience in polymer, chemical, or capital equipment sourcing
• Knowledge of FDA/GMP and medical device standards
• At least 2 years in sourcing, project management, or product development
• Experience in medical device or pharma industry
• Technical sourcing knowledge
• ISO standards familiarity
• PMI or ISM certification
• Technological expertise in relevant categories
• Lean Sigma experience
• Willingness to travel 10-15%
