Job summary

Emerson Electric Co. seeks a senior Program Manager to bridge strategy, engineering detail, and hands-on delivery in a high-visibility role.

You will drive cross‑functional programs, translate regulatory needs into technical requirements, and build tooling to reduce manual work and accelerate delivery. Qualifications

• 11 years of experience as a Program Manager leading large technical programs or projects, development/implementation projects or experience managing complex cross-functional programs, from conception to delivery.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Software Development, Electrical/Hardware Engineering, or related field AND 7 years of experience as a Program Manager leading large technical programs or projects, development/implementation projects or experience managing complex cross-functional programs, from conception to delivery.
• Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Software Development, Electrical/Hardware Engineering, or related field AND 5 years of experience as a Program Manager leading large technical programs or projects, development/implementation projects or experience managing complex cross-functional programs, from conception to delivery.
• Doctorate in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Software Development, Electrical/Hardware Engineering, or related field AND 3 year of experience as a Program Manager leading large technical programs or projects, development/implementation projects or experience managing complex cross-functional programs, from conception to delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead ambiguous, cross-functional programs from concept to delivery.
• Translate business and regulatory needs into technical requirements and tooling.
• Automate requirements tracking, documentation, evidence collection, and readiness for regulatory reviews, audits, and product releases.
• Partner with Director of Operations on organizational planning, resource allocation, and executive decisions.

Job description

This highly visible principal individual contributor role requires the ability to move between organizational strategy, engineering detail, and hands‑on implementation. You will independently lead ambiguous, cross‑functional programs, translate business and regulatory needs into technical requirements, and build tooling that reduces manual work and improves delivery.

You will work closely with Engineering, Product, Quality, Legal, and Regulatory Affairs to integrate medical device requirements into development and operational workflows. A key focus will be using automation to improve requirements tracking, documentation, evidence collection, and readiness for regulatory reviews, audits, certifications, and product releases.

As a strategic partner to the Director of Operations, you will also support organizational planning, resource allocation, and executive decision-making. Success requires technical depth, sound judgment, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders while delivering measurable improvements across teams.

Education and/or Experience:

• 11 years of experience as a Program Manager leading large technical programs or projects, development/implementation projects or experience managing complex cross-functional programs, from conception to delivery

  3 years of experience in communicating program status, end-to-end delivery, and results to leadership.
• Industry Experience:
  2 years of experience in relevant industry (e.g., cloud development, cloud operations, policy, risk, healthcare, financial, logistics, HR, regulatory compliance, or information technology [IT]).
• Data Analysis Experience:
  5 years of experience in data analysis and reporting.
• Project Management and Delivery Certifications:
