Amazon is seeking a leader for its Special Projects team in Boston to own end-to-end roadmaps and define ambitious objectives that positively impact customers at scale.
You will collaborate with engineers, product managers, and business partners to prioritize, forecast, and deliver milestones while communicating risks and outcomes to senior leadership.
Innovators wanted! Are you an entrepreneur? A builder? A dreamer? This role is part of an Amazon Special Projects team that takes the company’s Think Big leadership principle seriously. We focus on creating entirely new products and services with a goal of positively impacting the lives of our customers. No industries or subject areas are out of bounds. If you’re interested in innovating at scale to address big challenges in the world, this is the team for you.

Our team highly values work-life balance, mentorship and career growth. We believe striking the right balance between your personal and professional life is critical to life-long happiness and fulfillment. We care about your career growth and strive to assign projects and offer training that will challenge you to become your best.
You check in with teams developing products, talking to technical leads and engineers. Unexpected results in a recent test lead you to dig in to understand the issue better, huddle with relevant engineers and partner teams to formulate hypotheses for the issue, and test to validate them. Working with technical leads, you add roadmap items to validate hypotheses in the next development sprint, informing downstream customers of potential impact. You then write a document for senior leadership, focusing on recent progress and major decisions made, defining measures of success, elevating risks and how you plan to mitigate them.
