Job summary

Mastercard Networks Exchange (NEX) provides a single payment connection supporting Mastercard and non-Mastercard transactions. It is a central point of connectivity enabling issuers, acquirers, merchants, and processors to reach networks of their choice, reducing time and complexity.

We are seeking a Principal Product Manager - Technical to own a core NEX product domain end to end, partnering with engineers on architecture, data models, settlement, dispute processing, and network rules.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of experience in technical product management or related roles.
• Deep domain expertise in card transaction processing (authorization, clearing, settlement, reconciliation or disputes).
• Strong technical background and understanding of payment message formats and processing logic.
• Ability to translate customer and business inputs into clear product direction.
• Experience partnering with engineers on APIs, data models and distributed architecture.
• Experience mentoring product managers and setting standards across a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in a global matrix environment.

Responsibilities

• Own product domain end-to-end: requirements, acceptance criteria, and user stories clear for engineering.
• Collaborate with engineers on architecture, data models, and integration design; manage scope and risk.
• Engage with global networks and external processors to align delivery timelines.
• Represent domain in roadmap, prioritization, and leadership forums; communicate status and tradeoffs.
