The Team

The Customer Excellence Group at ServiceNow works with customers to help them achieve their business outcomes by providing prescriptive guidance. As part of the Customer Excellence Group, you will work with our customers to drive consumption, adoption, and customer satisfaction, ultimately helping them grow their business on the ServiceNow platform by demonstrating the value of their investment.

The Role

The Principal Technical Consultant, Integrations Specialist, is the functional and technical expert within a customer engagement team. You will consult with customers and configure ServiceNow integrations based on best practices, aiming to accelerate and drive business outcomes. Your responsibilities include designing and implementing integrations between ServiceNow and third-party platforms, troubleshooting complex issues, and developing procedures for system overlaps. You will play a crucial role in delivering transformative integration architectures supporting AI solutions on the platform.

What you get to do in this role:

  • Leverage and critically evaluate how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving, including automating workflows and analyzing AI-driven insights.
  • Devise integration development plans and system architecture strategies.
  • Implement ServiceNow AI offerings such as Virtual Agent, NLU, AI Search, Issue Auto Resolution, Task Intelligence, Document Intelligence, Generative AI, and other upcoming features.
  • Develop solutions based on user requirements gathered during workshops.
  • Coordinate with developers to ensure integration support within the overall project.
  • Follow best practices in integration processes organization-wide.
  • Act as an SME to resolve complex issues related to integrations and AI solutions.
  • Identify and resolve data conflicts and overlaps.
  • Analyze and optimize current configurations to support future customer needs.
  • Diagnose and advise on system errors or architecture issues.

To be successful in this role, we need someone who has:

  • At least 8 years of experience in configuring and developing complex integration technologies.
  • Ability to influence and consult effectively in diverse customer environments, providing technical and business solutions.
  • Maintain at least 2 ServiceNow CIS certifications and a ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) certification.
  • Experience leading technical engagements and creating high-level architecture diagrams for integrations.
  • Deep knowledge of integration technologies (REST/SOAP, middleware, LDAP, SSO, JDBC, etc.) and SaaS platforms.
  • Understanding of AI models, deep learning, and large language models, especially Generative AI.
  • Experience with ServiceNow’s AI and predictive capabilities like Virtual Agent, AI Search, and Task Intelligence is highly valued.
  • Proficiency with ServiceNow platform development tools (Studio IDE, Flow Designer, APIs, etc.).
  • Strong data management, database design, and enterprise technology skills (LDAP, VPN, SSL, SAML/SSO).
  • Experience with MID Servers, Notify, Orchestration, and self-hosted implementations is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, customer-centric attitude, and ability to work in diverse environments.
  • Proven leadership and mentoring abilities.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail skills.
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively, including report writing and presentations.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% annually.
