Job description

Oracle Cloud Technical Consultant

Oracle’s mission is to help people see data in new ways, discover insights, and unlock endless possibilities.

At Oracle North America Applications Consulting, we are building the bridge between Oracle’s innovative technology and the people who use it to achieve incredible things.

Our team focuses on North American based clients using our back-office cloud applications. Our resources are primarily located in North America and India. We are growing fast, and we need transformational leaders ready to bring their unique skills, energy, and creativity to help us continuously innovate how we deliver world-class client experiences on cloud applications projects.

At Oracle Consulting, we believe:

The attributes of modern cloud businesses demand new ways of thinking: more human-centered and experienced-based approaches.

Cloud technology should free people from bureaucracy and hierarchy and empower them to analyze and solve problems independently.

Aligning people, processes, and technology to the overall business strategy—with empathy and creativity—transforms industries.

Celebrating each employee’s contributions—not just their skills on paper, but who they really are—cultivates an environment where our people are engaged, believe in our vision, and are fiercely committed to creating game-changing results for our clients.

We need seasoned cloud delivery professionals who deliver world-class implementations – finding the right balance between delivery rigor and discipline and creating an exceptional customer experience. They serve as trusted technical advisor to the client via remote and on-location work.

Successful candidates will demonstrate the following:

- Deep understanding of cloud platforms:

You will possess the ability to create strategy documents for all major technical activities, using our standard templates and tools.

- Client relationship management:

You'll build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and ensuring their satisfaction. Active listening, consensus-building, using a consultative approach to guide client decision-making, empathy and collaboration.

- Communication:

You'll effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. You’ll use the appropriate level of detail according to the audience with whom you are engaging and demonstrate active listening. You’ll demonstrate confidence and executive presence when delivering presentations.

- Problem-solving:

You'll be able to troubleshoot complex technical issues and find creative solutions.

- Technical support:

You'll facilitate technical support to clients, serving as a liaison to the offshore technical team or product support.

- Sales Pursuit Support:

You’ll conduct technical discovery sessions, work with deal teams on solution design and estimation, and participate in sales presentations showcasing our teams’ solutions, experience, and capabilities.

- Drive Innovation:

You’ll contribute/lead innovation and initiatives as part of our communities of practice and cross functional teams.

- Continuous improvement:

You'll identify areas for improvement in cloud solutions and processes and implement changes to enhance performance and efficiency.

- Technical skills:

You’ll have demonstrated experience in the following areas:

Foundational understanding of OCI

- Deep experience in integration in general, demonstrated knowledge in platforms (preferably OIC), integration patterns, security, and processes

- Experience in OIC, VBCS, Process Cloud, ATP

- Foundational expertise in security: IDCS and security standards, SOS, SAML, OAUTH, PGP, and others.

- Functional skills

- Clear understanding of functional processes and workflows

- Project management: planning, tracking scope, collecting and reporting status, identifying, communicating, and mitigating risks; effectively managing resources and identifying needs and changes.

- Customer relationship building

- Staying up to date:

You'll need to continuously learn about emerging cloud technologies and best practices.

- Project management:

You'll drive the technical activities of cloud projects from start to finish, including planning, execution, and monitoring, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.

- Industry expertise is highly desired.

You are:

An out-of-the-box thinker always looking for new approaches and solutions. You enjoy rolling up your sleeves and tackling challenges with a hands‑on approach. You’re interested in technology, but you recognize it’s not the only factor that determines success in the cloud. You have a passion for client success across the lifecycle‑building relationships that blossom into trusted partnerships one decision at a time. You know the key to delivering exceptional customer experiences lies in your ability to apply industry knowledge, providing relevant and dynamic insights to each client you serve.
