The Technical Architect is a customer-facing, strategic role within Solutions Engineering. It combines business, technical, and sales skills to understand client needs and design enterprise marketing solutions. Technical Architects are experts in areas such as application architecture, data, integration, security, cloud computing, AI, and analytics.

Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted advisor to customers and sales teams.
• Collaborate with solutions engineers to understand business challenges and conduct workshops.
• Develop technical integration approaches and architecture diagrams.
• Create presentations, demos, and prototypes to showcase solutions.
• Lead workshops to align technical strategies with business goals.
• Present Salesforce Marketing Cloud infrastructure and capabilities.
• Support knowledge transfer and enablement for solutions engineers.
• Participate in ongoing product and sales training.

Required Qualifications

• Strong understanding of digital marketing and data-driven solutions.
• Four-year degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in consulting and solution design.
• Experience designing data flows and delivering presentations to technical and business audiences.
• Ability to configure solutions on Salesforce platform.
• Knowledge of web development languages and protocols.
• Experience with databases, ETL, analytics, and cloud tech.
• Salesforce Data Cloud experience and AI knowledge.
• Familiarity with CRM, APIs, SDKs, and cloud environments.
• Remote work with 25-50% travel.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as an architect, solution engineer, or IT consultant.
• Data Cloud and Agentforce experience.
• Hands-on with Generative AI and LLMs.
• Proven ability to present to senior stakeholders.
• Workshop facilitation skills.
• Knowledge of data governance and privacy.
