Job summary

Oliver Wyman is seeking a Principal to drive technical due diligence and CIO strategy, shaping IT decisions for mergers and cloud modernization. You will lead assessments, advise on outsourcing, cost management, and cybersecurity, and guide client teams to higher operating efficiency.

You will collaborate with CIOs and senior leaders, balancing risk with opportunity, while mentoring junior staff and delivering client-ready recommendations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in consulting, technology strategy, IT advisory, or related roles focusing on technical due diligence and CIO support.
• Strong knowledge of IT operating models, vendor management, cybersecurity, and compliance.
• Ability to lead technical assessments and explain results clearly to business leaders.
• Understanding of how IT operating models affect team dynamics and business collaboration.
• Experience advising on innovation, emerging tech, and cloud adoption trade-offs.
• Experience designing and supporting team training and upskilling.
• Skilled in working with senior executives and managing complex organizations.
• Excellent communication tailored to both technical and business audiences.
• Proven ability to deliver practical and impactful client solutions.
• Experience across multiple industries.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical due diligence for acquisitions and investments, evaluating technology, development, security, and risks.
• Advise CIOs on strategy questions including outsourcing, IT cost management, and customer experience improvements.
• Recommend IT operating models balancing agility, risk, cost, and business needs.
• Mentor and develop junior team members to build capabilities in AI and cloud adoption.
