Position Overview

You will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Lifecycle Sustainment and Modernization Solutions (LSMS) under our SEIT & Cyber Engineering as a Principal Systems Engineer to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals in Oklahoma City, OK. The team provides sustainment support for platforms such as the B-2 Bomber, E-3 Sentry, and others, focusing on engineering, reverse engineering, and logistics solutions to solve complex obsolescence problems and support warfighters.

Responsibilities
  1. Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints
  2. Perform trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications
  3. Serve as customer contact for program activities and support program review sessions
  4. Establish design concepts, criteria, and engineering efforts for product development, integration, and test
  5. Establish milestones and monitor adherence to master plans and schedules
  6. Identify program problems and obtain solutions, such as resource allocation or changing contractual specifications
  7. Act independently to resolve issues related to project development and implementation
  8. Participate in presenting company capabilities and developing solutions for customer requirements
Basic Qualifications
  1. Bachelor of Science in a STEM discipline with 5 years of experience; 3 years with a Masters; 1 year with a PhD
  2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  3. Excellent interpersonal, communication, writing, presentation, and critical thinking skills
  4. Must be a US Citizen able to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance and program access
  5. Located in or near Oklahoma City, OK; on-site work required; no relocation offered
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Experience with Systems Integration and Test on E-3 AWACS aircraft
  2. Experience managing COTS networking systems
  3. Experience with embedded software systems, cybersecurity, and software development
  4. Previous Systems Engineering experience in hardware environments
  5. Knowledge of aircraft systems including avionics, radar, communications, and others
  6. Experience with aircraft certifications
  7. Design tool experience such as OrCAD
  8. Experience with aerospace standards and working with Air Force customers
  9. Test planning experience at various system levels
  10. Analysis of electrical components in aircraft maintenance programs
  11. Experience with MBSE tools like DOORS or Cameo
  12. Background in Agile development environments
  13. Active DoD Secret security clearance
Salary Range

$90,300.00 - $135,500.00

This range is a guideline; actual offers depend on various factors including experience, skills, and market conditions. Benefits include health insurance, life and disability insurance, savings plans, paid holidays, and PTO. The application period is approximately 20 days from posting, subject to change.
