Location: Goleta, CA

Position: Systems Engineer – EW/Radar

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary Systems Engineering focal point for the program.
• Manage configuration process, perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
• Partner with the Program Chief Engineer to align engineering team to cost and schedule.
• Provide technical directions to multi‑disciplinary program teams.
• Implement and ensure adherence to systems engineering processes throughout the program lifecycle.
• Oversee development and maintenance of technical documentation, including system specifications, design documents, and test plans.
• Coordinate system engineering activities: requirements analysis, system design, integration, and testing.
• Conduct system‑level trade studies and performance analysis.
• Participate in design reviews, technical meetings, and customer presentations.
• Support program management with technical risk assessments and mitigation strategies.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or Physics).
• 8+ years of systems engineering experience in EW/Radar system development.
• Experience developing systems engineering artifacts: requirements, specifications, interface control documents, and verification/validation plans.
• Experience supporting system‑level technical reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR) and coordinating across multi‑disciplinary teams.
• Active U.S. Secret security clearance and U.S. citizenship.

Preferred Qualifications

• Writing, managing, and tracing system and subsystem requirements for EW/Radar systems throughout the lifecycle.
• Defining system architectures, performance budgets, and interface definitions (RF, digital, and mixed‑signal).
• Planning and overseeing development of special test equipment and system‑level test infrastructure.
• Analyzing and modeling EW/Radar system performance, including RF chain and signal processing.
• Knowledge of millimeter‑wave and microwave RF at module and system levels.
• Experience with Model‑Based Systems Engineering tools (SysML, Cameo Enterprise Architecture).
• Flight test or field test experience supporting system‑level evaluation and data analysis.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary range: $118,300 – $224,900 USD per year. Qualified applicants may be eligible for annual short‑term and/or long‑term incentive compensation, depending on level and collective‑bargaining agreement.
