Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeks a Principal/Senior Principal Systems Engineer to join a multi-disciplinary engineering IPT. The role is located in Oklahoma City, OK, or Melbourne, FL, or Rancho Bernardo, CA and focuses on requirements, interfaces, and verification across modernization efforts.

The position requires leadership, strong collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, and experience with DOORS, Cameo, and EVMS. A DoD clearance and SAP eligibility are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline and 5+ years of related Systems Engineering experience, OR Master’s with 3+ years, OR PhD with 0 years.
• Senior/Principal level experience in requirements and verification management and interface control documents.
• Ability to obtain DoD Secret or higher clearance and SAP clearance.
• Experience leading a technical team and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Perform requirements development, allocation, verification/validation planning, and manage interface definition.
• Lead major milestone events to ensure program requirements are met or mitigated.
• Write complex specifications, interface control documents, and engineering reports.
• Coordinate with program, functional and subsystem leads for artifact verification.
• Maintain Systems Engineering artifacts with configuration management procedures.
• Synthesize data and communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Adhere to the IPT SOW and manage changes with program leadership.
• Manage communications to ensure information is defined, collected, stored, and retrievable.
