Principal Systems Engineer - Civil Space Systems - R10191612

Join Northrop Grumman as a Principal Systems Engineer - Civil Space Systems - R10191612 at our Gilbert, Arizona location. This role supports the Joint Polar Satellite System (JPSS) systems integration and test (I&T) team, reporting to the Lead Systems Engineer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support satellite integration and test activities, including developing and executing test procedures, monitoring telemetry, and addressing issues.
  • Develop and oversee comprehensive test plans, procedures, and schedules.
  • Coordinate testing activities, review requirements, and evaluate compliance.
  • Respond to test anomalies, generate non-conformance reports, and coordinate corrective actions.
  • Provide briefings to customers and program leadership.

Qualifications:

  • US citizen with a B.S. in STEM and 5 years of experience, or M.S. with 3 years, or PhD with systems engineering experience.
  • Experience in spacecraft integration, test support, and anomaly resolution.
  • Experience developing spacecraft test procedures.
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and reviewing test anomalies.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of LEOStar-3 architecture, ground support equipment, spacecraft architecture, and requirements development.
  • Experience with verification documentation, spacecraft launch or mission operations, and tools like DOORS, MATLAB, STK.

Additional Details:

  • Salary Range: $95,300 - $142,900
  • Position may require some second and third shifts.
  • Relocation assistance may be available.
  • Clearance: None required.
