Principal Systems Engineer - BMD SME

Location: US-AL-Huntsville

Opportunity

PeopleTec is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer - BMD SME to support our Huntsville, AL location. This role involves facilitating modeling, simulation, and analysis of future concepts shaping the Missile Defense System (MDS) and responding to Warfighter needs.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate the definition of future concepts for modeling, simulation, and analysis
• Act as a subject matter expert in future concept definition, architecture analyses, and review preliminary results
• Assess MDS threats, capability gaps, challenges, needs, and opportunities; develop potential system mitigations and evolutions at the architecture level
• Support modeling & simulation efforts, including analysis on DoD HPC
• Develop analysis plans, execute simulations, analyze results, prepare reports, and review analysis products

Qualifications

Required Skills/Experience:

• 12+ years in missile defense or large DoD programs
• Experience in modeling, assessment, and evaluation of missile defense architectures
• Deep understanding of current MDS architecture and future concepts
• U.S. Citizen with an active Secret clearance; ability to obtain Top Secret / SCI clearance

Education:

• Master's Degree in STEM

Desired Skills:

• Active TS/SCI clearance
• Experience with advanced modeling algorithms, MATLAB/Python, HPC, MBSE
• Support systems engineering architecture design
• Technology assessment, multidisciplinary analysis, threat characterization, signatures analysis, report writing, cyber security experience
