Glocomms is partnering with a technology company in Minneapolis to hire a Senior Principal Systems Engineer. The role leads architecture and development across hardware, firmware, software, wireless, and cloud domains in a hybrid setting (Minneapolis, Tue–Thu onsite).

The position commands a base salary of $160,000–$200,000 with a confidential project scope and a focus on cutting-edge connected products and platforms.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Systems Engineering within complex product development environments.
• Strong knowledge of Bluetooth, NFC, or other wireless communication technologies.
• Experience with modeling and simulation tools, ideally MATLAB.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of complex system architectures for connected products and cloud-enabled platforms.
• Solve challenging technical problems and drive innovative solutions from concept through deployment.
• Collaborate across systems, electrical, mechanical, firmware, software, and product engineering teams.
• Define system requirements, evaluate performance, and improve reliability and scalability.
• Support modeling, simulation, signal processing, and data analysis initiatives.
• Perform failure mode analysis and develop mitigation strategies to improve product performance and user experience.
• Partner with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders to deliver cutting-edge technology solutions.
