Job summary

2HB Incorporated is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to support its government customer in Annapolis Junction, MD. The role requires full-time commitment and a TS/SCI/Full Scope Polygraph Clearance.

The candidate will manage all lab space for FORNSAT, create space utilization plans, monitor safety and cleanliness, and coordinate lab activities. Proficiency with Kubernetes, Redhat, CentOS, and VMs is expected alongside hardware knowledge of servers, networking, RF gear, and NetApp.

Qualifications

• Maintain lab space utilization plans and diagrams and coordinate with groups to stay within designated space.
• Monitor safety and cleanliness and manage staging areas; support ITF SSP efforts and lab activities.
• Redline LAN drawings and provide draftsman with lab redline; handle wiring and RF configurations.
• Inventory management and rack elevations; ensure EMI testing and security requirements are met.

Responsibilities

• Manage all lab space for FORNSAT and ensure efficient utilization.
• Develop and maintain space planning diagrams and milestone schedules for labs.
• Monitor safety, cleanliness, and staging areas; coordinate lab activities across teams.

Required Skills:

• Manage all lab space for FORNSAT
• Lab space utilization plans and diagrams, facility space planning support, maintain milestone schedule for labs, ensure groups maintain their space and stay within their designated space, Redline LAN and wiring drawings and supply draftsman with lab redline, monitor safety and cleanliness, scheduling staging areas, support ITF SSP efforts, manage and coordinate lab activities
• Hardware knowledge including servers, networking gear, RF gear, racks, network and RF switches, modems, digitizers, timing, receivers, NetApp
• Software knowledge including Kubernetes, Redhat, Centos, VMs
• power whips, RF configurations, shipping/receiving, GPS connections/configurations, timing, fiber optic connections, MUC connectivity, STE/STN security requirements, EMI testing, Inventory keeping, barcodes, vpn between buildings, rack elevations, wire diagrams, power APCs for racks, ONEX
