As a Principal Systems Engineer you will lead the design, modeling, and architectural development of advanced chiller systems. Based in Charlotte, NC, this technical leadership position focuses on the thermodynamic optimization of HVAC solutions and the successful transition of new technologies from concept to production.
You will be responsible for the high-level system architecture, ensuring all designs meet performance and reliability requirements through rigorous testing and DOE methodologies. You will serve as a critical link between the technology organization and product marketing to ensure engineering output aligns with market requirements and safety standards.
Thermodynamic based modeling and optimization of chiller system design, fluid filtration and pumping
Lead engineering teams in the completion of engineering technology projects.
Develop chiller system architecture solutions that meets or exceeds the product development requirements
Work cross functionally with the technology organization to effectively develop technologies that smoothly launch into production
Confirm product design performance, capability and reliability testing our engineering product test laboratories utilizing DOE methodologies.
Collaborate with the product marketing teams locally to develop product requirements and ensure that the product meets their needs when launched
Follow all appropriate design, safety, and qualification standards in development programs.
Produce parts, specifications, designs, or sketches for machines, components, systems or work orders / purchase requests
OR
Strong Project leadership experience
Strong experience in a new product development, service and/or aftermarket space, preferred
Strong HVAC industry experience, strongly preferred
Strong communication skills, primarily in English
Leadership and teamwork skills required
The annual salary for this position is between $117,500.00 - $234,500.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
Thisposition is entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
