Principal Systems Architect – Supply Chain Application

Job Responsibilities:

• Evaluate third-party products and define software development processes.
• Lead architecture efforts for SAP ECC/S4 HANA and cloud-native supply chain integrations using REST APIs and middleware.
• Translate business needs into technical solutions and collaborate with development teams.
• Implement capabilities like BOPIS, real-time delivery tracking, and warehouse automation.
• Define and ensure system integration standards aligning with enterprise architecture principles.
• Design hybrid architectures leveraging on-premises and cloud services (AWS, Azure, OCI).
• Participate in solution blueprinting and cloud migration planning.
• Conduct architecture reviews, create documentation, and mentor teams in microservices, DevOps, and API management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, optimized solutions.
• Ensure system performance, resilience, and data security.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field (Required).
• Technology certifications (Java, Microsoft, Oracle, etc.) a plus.
• 7-10+ years of experience in business environments.
• 7+ years as a software or systems architect, engineer, or programmer.
• 4-7+ years in B2C e-commerce systems architecture, preferably with IBM WebSphere Commerce.
• 4+ years in web experience management technologies (e.g., Adobe CQ5).
• 4-7+ years in mobile web application architecture, including responsive and hybrid models.

Skills & Abilities:

• Supply Chain Leadership: Design supply chain systems aligned with customer-first values and omni-channel goals.
• Smart Supply Chain Solutions: Use real-time tracking and predictive models, evaluate emerging technologies.
• Architecture Documentation: Create detailed architecture documents for scalable and cost-effective solutions.
• SAP Integration: Connect SAP systems with modern cloud platforms via APIs and middleware.
• Modern Architecture Practices: Apply microservices, containerization, and serverless principles.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience with supply chain features like BOPIS, last-mile delivery, warehouse automation, logistics integrations.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud).
• Managing technical debt and TCO in long-term strategies.
• Knowledge of data privacy, encryption, and compliance standards.
• Leadership in Agile projects with excellent communication skills.

Certifications:

• Industry certifications in cloud, SAP, or enterprise architecture (TOGAF) are a plus.
• Must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the US.
