Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Supply Chain Planner for the Mission Systems Sector in Baltimore, MD. The role combines on-site collaboration with remote work as part of a hybrid schedule, with a focus on material planning and program support.

The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years in supply chain, ERP/SAP experience, and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance, working within a cross-functional team to keep programs on schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with minimum 5 years in supply chain or related fields; Master’s with 3+ years.
• Program execution experience required.
• ERP systems experience (SAP or equivalent).
• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain a Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Manage on-time release of requirements, PO placements and delivery dates to maintain program schedule.
• Oversee material budgets and support baseline/EVMS requirements.
• Forecast material cost/performance and report results.
• Act as CAM to support PLATO/CEAC/EAC activities.
• Identify program risks and opportunities related to material needs.
• Analyze lead times and critical path procurements.
• Monitor supplier capacity and production issues.
• Support proposal activities and CBOM reviews.
• Contribute to development of supply chain strategies and supplier risk management.

The successful applicant(s) will become a part of Northrop Grumman’s Mission Systems Sector supporting the AMC Division in Baltimore, Maryland. This position can be hired at level 3 (Principal).

This is a hybrid position and will require 3-day per week on-site presence at BWI-Baltimore, MD. (Onsite requirement could change at any time)

Roles And Responsibilities For Supply Chain Planner

• Management of on time req release, PO placements, and PO delivery dates to maintain program schedule
• Management of material budgets for contract requirements. Supporting baseline/EVMS requirements
• Accurate reporting and forecasting of material cost/performance of assigned program(s)
• Execution of duties as CAM to support program PLATO/CEAC/EAC activities
• Identification and management of program risks and opportunities as they pertain to material requirements
• Analysis of material lead times and identification critical path procurements
• Monitoring and addressing supplier capacity and/or production issues
• Supporting program proposal activities (BOE’s creation, CBOM review, etc)
• Supporting the development of supply chain strategies – including supplier development and supplier risk management, which may include development of secondary sources
• Coordination of program activities between various supply chain management functions including buyers, planners, subcontract administrators, scheduling, customers and suppliers, etc

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in supply chain and/or material inventory management, shipping and logistics, or supplier management experience. Master’s degree and a minimum of 3 years of supply chain and/or material inventory management, shipping and logistics, or supplier management experience; will also consider a minimum of 9 years of supply chain and/or material inventory management, shipping and logistics, or supplier management experience in lieu of a Bachelors degree
• Program execution experience
• SAP experience or other ERP systems
• US Citizenship
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

• Shop order launch experience
• Development/IRAD/CRAD program execution experience
• Software procurement experience
• Experience with ZRPIs, BOEs, and QUEST runs
• Non-MRP procurement experience
• Active Secret Security Clearance
• Experience with proposals
• Material CAM experience

Primary Level Salary Range: $89,900.00 - $134,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.

Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.

Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
