Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems seeks a Principal Supplier Quality Engineer (Level 3) to join the Supplier Quality Engineering team in the MSTS division. The onsite role supports programs across the Naval & Oceanic Systems portfolio, reporting to the Manager, Supplier Quality.

Location options include Sykesville, MD; Annapolis, MD; or Charlottesville, VA. The role emphasizes quality planning, flow-down of requirements, supplier performance monitoring, and risk mitigation in a defense/aerospace

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in STEM with 5+ years of relevant work experience in quality, supply chain, manufacturing, or related fields.
• Master's Degree in STEM with 3+ years of relevant work experience is acceptable.
• US Citizenship Required.

Responsibilities

• Apply quality requirements to purchase requisitions and review purchase orders for on-time release.
• Interpret drawings and specifications to determine applicable quality flow-downs.
• Manage database of quality flow-down notes and ensure consistent application.
• Monitor supplier performance and generate charts for program reporting and risk assessment.
• Support supplier quality risk management and proactive improvement strategies.
• Develop and implement supplier quality evaluation and control systems.
