The Operations and Supply Chain organization invites talented professionals to join as Principal Supplier Engineers in Energetics within manufacturing engineering. You will be involved in planning and executing production of weapon systems, from tactical missiles to strategic defense products. Responsibilities include providing technical knowledge, capacity analysis, process capability expertise, ensuring technical data packages are complete and accurate, and supplier performance management to meet quality, cost, and schedule objectives. You will drive design improvements to enhance manufacturing and quality capabilities and initiate continuous hardware and process improvements for affordability.

What You Will Do:

  1. Communicate and translate technical data packages to suppliers
  2. Conduct supplier engagements related to capability, capacity, opportunity, and risk
  3. Perform technical evaluations supporting cost and price analysis
  4. Manage supplier requests for product and process changes
  5. Manage product non-conformances, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
  6. Prioritize and execute improvement opportunities
  7. Communicate the technical health of suppliers to stakeholders
  8. Support travel as needed, with a minimum of 25% travel

Qualifications You Must Have:

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and at least 8 years of relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations. The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is mandatory, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Manufacturing Engineering is strongly preferred.

The salary range for this role is $101,000 - $203,000, based on experience, role, and other factors.
