Location & Role: Raytheon’s Commodity Supplier Assurance team has an opportunity for a Principal Supplier Engineer based in New York or New Jersey, who will be involved in all aspects of planning and executing the production of our wide range of weapon systems. This is remote with visits to local supplier facilities; a home office is required. Candidates are expected to travel domestically up to 60% of the time, including driving up to a 300-mile radius with some flying as needed. Relocation assistance is not provided.

What You Will Do

• Communicate and translate technical data packages to suppliers
• Conduct supplier engagements related to capability, capacity, opportunity and risk
• Perform technical evaluations in support of cost and price analysis
• Manage supplier requests for product and process changes
• Manage non-conforming products
• Drive root cause and corrective action
• Prioritize and execute improvement opportunities
• Collaborate with and mentor teammates
• Communicate the technical health of our suppliers to stakeholders
• Support domestic travel as needed (Approx 60%)

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s in STEM and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience
• Experience in at least one of the following: mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, manufacturing & quality systems and/or technical supplier management
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience with Manufacturing Engineering in a manufacturing / factory environment is strongly preferred
• Active DoD clearance
• Experience with any of the following commodities: CCA/PWB/Flex, Antenna/Power/Networks, Cables/Harnesses/Integrated Assy/Electronic Components, RF, or Optics
• Experience performing supplier assessments
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Role Details

Salary range: 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer. Specific benefits depend on the business unit and applicable agreements. This role is a U.S.-based role; if the candidate resides in a U.S. territory, appropriate pay structure and benefits apply.
