Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal/Sr. Principal Structural Engineer in Roy, Utah. The role focuses on structural analyses for aerospace systems, with leadership responsibilities and collaboration across disciplines.

The position requires a DoD Secret clearance, relevant STEM degrees, and experience with air vehicle structures, PDPs, GD&T, and large CAD models. Benefits include a robust package and relocation assistance where applicable.

Qualifications

• US Citizen with active DoD Secret Clearance
• Experience with hypersonic/missile flight systems
• Experience with packaging, sizing and weight tradeoffs
• Experience creating and releasing mechanical PDPs
• Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes and DFM
• Experience designing air vehicle structures
• Experience developing Interface Control Models (ICMs)
• GD&T proficiency per ASME Y14.5
• Experience managing large CAD models and interfaces
• Experience with mass properties and static structural assessments

Responsibilities

• Analyzes and develops structural engineering specifications for products and systems.
• Assesses damage tolerance, durability and design allowables.
