Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal or Senior Principal Strategic Planner to join the Strategy team as a Strategy Analyst in Falls Church, VA, El Segundo, CA, or Melbourne, FL. The role focuses on evaluating opportunities, developing business cases, and coordinating tech scouting with internal and external partners.

The successful candidate will lead financial analyses, support strategic investments, and assist in forming long-term partnerships while maintaining a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience in business, finance, engineering/science, or a related discipline; OR a Master's degree with 3 years of experience; OR PhD with 1 year of experience
• Proven ability to collect, analyze, and synthesize business and financial insights from multiple sources
• Experience in financial analysis, strategy development, and/or project management
• The ability to communicate effectively with senior levels of management
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret clearance

Responsibilities

• Coordinate technology scouting initiatives and manage sector tech scouting & startup engagements
• Source, analyze, and execute strategic investments including minority equity investments
• Support development and execution of strategic partnerships and track performance metrics
• Respond to executive-sponsored special projects and present findings to leadership
