Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Strategic Weapons System Launcher Systems Engineer to join our team at Quonset Point, RI. You will support the installation, testing, and maintenance of the Trident II Submarine Launcher Subsystem and collaborate with shipyard personnel to ensure program success.

The role offers the option to hire at Level 2 or Level 3, with travel up to 25% and a focus on ensuring readiness of SITP activities for the Columbia Class SSBN program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in STEM and 2+ years of related experience.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Active Interim Secret Clearance is required.
• Willing to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for Trident II Launcher installation and testing at Quonset Point.
• Witness SITP testing procedures for Columbia Class SSBNs.
• Support readiness reviews, participate in working groups and standups.
• Train shipyard personnel in equipment operation and maintenance.
• Analyze equipment failures and propose corrective actions.
• Prepare status reports and daily task logs.
• Collaborate with multi-stakeholder teams to resolve time-sensitive issues.
• Update test program documentation to improve efficiency and correct deficiencies.
• Coordinate with UK test personnel on SITP lessons learned.
