Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience assessing and developing cybersecurity solutions and programs across security domains.
  • 8 years of experience in delivering cybersecurity outcomes, identifying mission risks, and devising solutions.
  • Fluent English communication skills for collaboration with internal partners and customer teams.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% as needed.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Professional certifications in cybersecurity (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CRISC).
  • Experience leading cybersecurity assessments, including tabletop exercises (TTX).
  • Experience in engagement activities such as scoping, budgeting, scheduling, proposal writing, and drafting statements of work.
  • Knowledge of security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27000, NIST CSF).
  • Ability to present complex security concepts to technical and executive audiences.
  • Excellent time management, consulting, problem-solving, and project management skills.

As a Mandiant Strategic Security Consultant, you will lead and support client projects that assess, test, or build security programs. Project teams typically range from 2 to 5 colleagues. Clients vary from startups to Fortune 100 companies. You will provide guidance on best practices and risk management for security programs.

Part of Google Cloud, Mandiant is a leader in cyber defense, threat intelligence, and incident response. Our expertise includes frontline breach response, nation-state threat intelligence, machine learning, and security validation, making us highly knowledgeable about advanced threats.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $164,000-$243,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Salary details depend on role, level, location, skills, experience, and education. Your recruiter will share specific salary info during hiring.

Responsibilities
  • Guide the development and maturation of cybersecurity programs and tools.
  • Conduct security reviews and maturity assessments, providing organized risk findings and recommendations.
  • Lead consulting engagements from start to finish, analyzing requirements and delivering results aligned with client needs.
  • Interface with clients to address concerns, track issues, and ensure service value.
  • Identify and manage a pipeline of opportunities with new and existing clients.
