Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) is seeking an experienced Software Engineer (Integration & Test) in the Payload and Ground Systems Division Engineering organization supporting our Integrated National Systems (INS) Business Unit (BU). This role is for a Ground software engineer to support Application Management (AM) Software Development.
What you’ll get to do: As a Software Engineer on this team, you will support the Application Management team where you will design, develop, document, refactor, test, and debug applications software for a Ground Segment.
This role is for one experienced full-stack software developer willing to do both frontend/backend work noting that the role will primarily focus on the backend. This individual must have Python experience.
The successful candidate will have Python Software development experience, with the ability to digest changes and synthesize them into working designs, generate efficient code according to the specifications, adapt to changes as necessary that are driven by bugs or specification updates or the customer.
The candidate is expected to operate independently with little oversight in a dynamic environment, to be highly self-motivated, reporting information to leads and the customer. The individual is expected to handle diverse assignments with efficiency, finding unique solutions and working in a very collaborative and fast-paced environment that continues to grow.
This position will be located at our Morrisville North Carolina location.
This position requires being onsite and does not support remote or hybrid work.
This requisition may be filled at either a Principal level (level 3) or a Senior Principal level (level 4), depending on the candidate’s experience as laid out in the basic qualifications detailed below as well as the interview assessment.
Basic Qualifications
Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance at the time of application.
Must be willing to submit and favorably succeed a polygraph.

Automated Testing (Gherkin, Robot Framework).

Salary Range: $100,300 - $150,500
Salary Range 2: $124,900 - $187,300
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
