Job summary

Northrop Grumman seeks a Principal/Sr Principal Quality Engineer to support Sentinel with QA, risk management, and program quality planning in Ogden or Roy, UT. The role requires a STEM degree and active Secret clearance, plus experience resolving production defects and delivering QA metrics.

You will collaborate with IPT MA & QE, support program reviews, and ensure timely closure of corrective actions while promoting safety and reliability across mission critical hardware.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s of Science in a STEM degree with 5 years of relevant experience; or 3 years with a Master’s.
• US Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance or higher.
• 2 years of experience resolving defects from production or receiving.
• 3 years of experience supporting Quality Objectives.
• Sr. Principal: 6 years with a Master’s or 8 years without for relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Support MA functions to ensure mission success.
• Perform technical reviews of Sentinel drawings, SOWs, and requirements documents.
• Ensure quality, risk management, safety, reliability, and maintainability of Sentinel achievements.
• Assess performance and risks and determine resources for mission assurance.
• Assist Program Quality Managers with Sentinel QA/PM requirements.
• Develop and maintain Sentinel Program Quality Plans and metrics.
• Support FRBs, PCABs, and corrective actions.

Northrop Grumman is currently seeking to hire a Principal/Sr Principal Quality Engineer to provide support to our Sentinel Team. This position will be located in Ogden or Roy, UT.

What You'll Get to Do:

• Selected candidate will support MA functions to ensure mission success.
• Technical reviews of all Sentinel drawings, SOW’s, Requirements documents as required.
• Performs or assures quality, risk management, safety, reliability and maintainability of Sentinel achievements.
• Assesses Sentinel performance and risks, and determines resources to ensure mission assurance.
• Assist the Program Quality Managers (PQM) with all Sentinel Mission Assurance /Program Management requirements.
• Support, develop, implement and maintain the Sentinel Program Quality Plans.
• Support and facilitate Sentinel program FRBs ensuring identification of root cause and proper implementation of corrective actions and reach back and reach across.
• Assist PQM in preparation and execution on of Program Preventive and Corrective Action Board (PCAB).
• Develop and maintain Sentinel Program Metrics. Assist in the preparation of the Program Management Program Review packages.
• Support PQM with GBSD Customer Corrective Action Requests.
• Support IPT MA & QE in Conditional Acceptance requirements and flow down.
• Monitor timely closure of Conditionally Accepted hardware and work corrective actions with IPT MA & QEs.
• Must be able to obtain Secret Clearance

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Basic Qualifications:

• Principal Quality Engineer: Bachelor’s of Science in a STEM Degree with 5 years of relevant experience; or 3 years of relevant experience with a Masters.
• US Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Secret (S) security clearance or higher.
• 2 years of experience working defect resolutions from production or receiving.
• 3 years of working experience supporting Quality Objectives.
• Sr. Principal Quality Engineer: Bachelor’s of Science in a STEM Degree with 8 Years of relevant experience; or 6 years of relevant experience with a Masters.
• US Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Secret (S) security clearance or higher.
• 5 years of experience working defect resolutions from production or receiving.
• 6 years of working experience supporting Quality Objectives.

Preferred Qualifications:

• A current Secret (S) security clearance or higher.
• Experience working defect resolutions with SAP & MES

Primary Level Salary Range: $89,400.00 - $134,200.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $111,700.00 - $167,500.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
