Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant experience OR Master's with 3 years of relevant experience; 9 years can substitute for a degree.
• Active Government Secret clearance or higher (with BI in last 6 years or Continuous Evaluation).
• Ability to obtain Program Access within company requirements.
• Experience with MS Project and IMS development.
• Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, develops and coordinates the integrated master plan and schedule to meet program objectives.
• Ensures schedules are integrated across functions including finance, engineering, manufacturing, and quality.
• Tracks plans, performs risk analysis, and resolves critical path and logic conflicts.
• Uses PMP techniques to gauge progress and identify performance variances for targeted intervention.

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) is seeking a Principal Program Planning Scheduling Analyst (Level 3) or Sr. Principal Program Planning Scheduling Analyst (Level 4) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will work on-site daily in Palmdale, CA and require up to 25% travel or be located in El Segundo, CA or San Diego, CA and require up to 50% travel .

Note: Due to the classified nature of the work being performed, this position does not offer any virtual or telecommute working options. This is an individual contributor role that can be filled at either level.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, develops and coordinates the integrated master plan and integrated master schedule to meet all program objectives
• Ensures major projects and program schedules and plans are horizontally and vertically integrated across company functional groups including finance, engineering, material, manufacturing, and quality
• Tracks plans and schedules, performs risk analysis, identifies and resolves critical path and network logic conflicts
• Uses Gantt, PERT, milestone charts, earned value management and other project management techniques to gauge progress and identify performance variances to facilitate focus and intervention on critical areas

Basic Qualifications for Level 3

• Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience in program planning, scheduling, and/or industry-related fields OR Master's degree with 3 years of experience in program planning, scheduling, and/or industry-related fields OR 9 years of applicable work experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
• Must have an active Government Secret clearance or higher (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Program Access within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
• Demonstrated experience in MS Project including, but not limited to, the detail development of an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
• Demonstrated experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) practices.

Basic Qualifications for Level 4

• Bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience in program planning, scheduling, and/or industry-related fields OR Master's degree with 6 years of experience in program planning, scheduling, and/or industry-related fields OR 12 years of applicable work experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
• Must have an active Government Secret clearance or higher (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Program Access within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
• Demonstrated experience in MS Project including, but not limited to, the detail development of an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
• Demonstrated experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in material cost management
• Strong proficiency with EVM
• Experience with SAP and/or COBRA

Primary Level Salary Range: $103,600.00 - $155,400.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $129,300.00 - $193,900.00
