Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) seeks a Principal Program Planning Scheduling Analyst (Level 3) or Senior Principal (Level 4) to join a team of qualified professionals. This on-site role is in Palmdale, CA with up to 25% travel, or located in El Segundo or San Diego with up to 50% travel.

You will develop and coordinate the integrated master schedule, track progress, perform risk analysis and ensure cross-functional integration with finance, engineering, manufacturing and quality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience in program planning, scheduling, and/or industry-related fields OR Master’s degree with 3 years of experience in program planning, scheduling, and/or industry-related fields OR 9 years of applicable work experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Must have an active Government Secret clearance or higher (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Program Access within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
  • Demonstrated experience in MS Project including, but not limited to, the detail development of an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
  • Demonstrated experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) practices.

  • Ensures major projects and program schedules and plans are horizontally and vertically integrated across company functional groups including finance, engineering, material, manufacturing, and quality
  • Tracks plans and schedules, performs risk analysis, identifies and resolves critical path and network logic conflicts
  • Uses Gantt, PERT, milestone charts, earned value management and other project management techniques to gauge progress and identify performance variances to facilitate focus and intervention on critical areas

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) is seeking a Principal Program Planning Scheduling Analyst (Level 3) or Sr. Principal Program Planning Scheduling Analyst (Level 4) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will work on-site daily in Palmdale, CA and require up to 25% travel or be located in El Segundo, CA or San Diego, CA and require up to 50% travel.

_ Note: Due to the classified nature of the work being performed, this position does not offer any virtual or telecommute working options. This is an individual contributor role that can be filled at either level.

  • Must have an active Government Secret clearance or higher (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).

  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Program Access within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.

  • Demonstrated experience in MS Project including, but not limited to, the detail development of an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).

  • Demonstrated experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in material cost management

  • Strong proficiency with EVM

  • Experience with SAP and/or COBRA

Primary Level Salary Range: $103,600.00 - $155,400.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $129,300.00 - $193,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
