Job description

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded real‑time system software
• Work in an Agile environment as part of a scrum team
• Resolve software and system defects
• Collaborate with our customer, internal NGC sites, and disciplines
• Participate in peer reviews, critical milestone reviews, and technical inter‑change meetings
• Use project‑dependent tools such as Rational ClearCase, ClearQuest, DOORS, Git, Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence, Ada, C/C++, C#, Python, Green Hills Integrity RTOS, Windows, and Linux

Basic Qualifications – Principal Embedded Software Engineer

• BS degree in a STEM field with 5 years of experience, or MS degree in a STEM field with 3 years of experience
• Experience with a higher‑order language such as Ada, C/C++, or C#
• Knowledge of object‑oriented software development
• Ability to function as a member of an integrated team
• Experience with version control systems (e.g. git, Bitbucket, ClearCase)
• US citizenship required
• Current DoD Secret Clearance or higher

Basic Qualifications – Sr. Principal Embedded Software Engineer

• BS degree in a STEM field with 8 years of experience, or MS degree in a STEM field with 6 years of experience
• Experience with a higher‑order language such as Ada, C/C++, or C#
• Knowledge of object‑oriented software development
• Ability to function as a member of an integrated team
• Experience with version control systems (e.g. git, Bitbucket, ClearCase)
• US citizenship required
• Current DoD Secret Clearance or higher

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong verbal communication and customer service skills
• Strong collaborative mindset
• Experience working full software life cycle on large‑scale formal DoD program
• Experience programming with Ada language
• Experience programming with C++ language
• Experience with real‑time embedded software development
• Experience working in an Agile environment
• Electronic Warfare system development and design experience

Salary & Benefits

Primary Level Salary Range: $114,000.00 – $171,000.00. Secondary Level Salary Range: $142,200.00 – $213,400.00.

In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonuses, and for high‑level positions, long‑term incentives. Benefits include health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a savings plan, company‑paid holidays, paid time off for vacation, and other personal business time.
