We are seeking a highly qualified individual for the role of Principal or Sr. Principal Cyber Systems Engineer. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cybersecurity implementations aligned with DoD standards, NIST guidelines, CNSSI, and RMF processes. This role focuses on advancing our SIEM & SOAR enterprise implementations. The position is based in Aurora, CO.

Basic Qualifications

  • Level 03, Principal: Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years' experience, master’s degree with 3 years, or PhD with no experience; or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • Level 04, Sr Principal: Bachelor’s Degree with 9 years' experience, master’s with 7 years, or PhD with 4 years; or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph at application.
  • Experience with enterprise security tools like Splunk, Rapid 7, Trellix, and SQL databases.
  • DoD IAT Level II Security+ Certification.
  • Experience with DoD System Security Engineering activities.
  • Knowledge of RMF, STIG, and requirements development from control listings.
  • Proficiency in managing SIEM/SOAR engineering and implementation responsibilities.
  • Ability to assess system security posture in compliance with customer requirements.
  • Experience adapting commercial security methodologies within sensitive environments per NIST 800-53.
  • Experience with RMF accreditation functions, including documentation, scanning, assessment, POAM management, and RMF process steps.

Preferred Qualifications

  • DoD IAT Level III Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
  • Ability to integrate Cyber Systems Engineering with Program SDLC initiatives.
  • Experience translating SIEM/SOAR requirements into JIRA tasks for agile tracking.
  • Experience with automation techniques like Ansible for deployment.
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary teams and developing technical proposals.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interfacing at all levels.
  • Experience configuring and deploying Cross Domain Solutions (CDS).

Salary Range: $121,400 - $182,000; Salary Range 2: $151,100 - $226,700. Compensation factors include experience, education, skills, and market conditions. Benefits include health insurance, life/disability insurance, savings plan, paid holidays, and PTO. The application period is approximately 20 days, subject to change.
