We are seeking a Principal Aeronautical Engineer/Senior Principal Aeronautical Engineer (Liaison Engineer/Material Review Board) to join our Vehicle Engineering organization in Palmdale, CA.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain Material Review Board authority to autonomously address MRB tasks.
• Assess, disposition, and buy off non‑conformance (MRB) tags and Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) as they arise in the flight test environment.
• Coordinate dispositioned repairs with support roles in the organization.
• Author detailed engineering direction and collaborate with support engineering roles to ensure integrity of the final product.
• Work extended shifts, weekends, and holidays as required to meet program schedule and objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in a STEM field with at least 5 years of experience, or Master’s with 3 years of experience, or PhD with no experience for Principal Engineer.
• Bachelor’s with at least 8 years of experience, or Master’s with 6 years of experience, or PhD with 3 years of experience for Senior Principal Engineer.
• Knowledge of and experience with the MRB process.
• Experience with CATIA V5, NX, Visualization Pro, TeamCenter, MES, or other CAD programs.
• Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. Government security clearance and Program Special Access.
• U.S. citizenship is a pre‑requisite.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• Experience with manufacture and repair of composite and metallic structures.
• Experience with conceptual operation, troubleshooting, and typical aircraft subsystems.
• Experience working with sub‑tier suppliers and in a developmental/operational test maintenance environment.
• Experience in an aircraft manufacturing facility and interface with a military customer.
• Hands‑on production assembly line experience and aircraft structures or subsystem design.
• Previous MRB/LE Authority for Engineering.

Salary Range

Primary Level: $114,000.00 - $171,000.00
Secondary Level: $142,200.00 - $213,400.00
