Prattwhitney in Tucson, Arizona seeks a Material Program Manager to develop and implement material strategies, forecast material needs, and ensure cost and schedule adherence. The role requires US citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance on day 1.

Job description

Material Program Manager (MPM)

Location: Tucson, Arizona. U.S. citizenship is required. An active DoD Secret security clearance is required on day 1.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement material strategies.
  • Forecast material needs and maintain accurate sales forecasting.
  • Ensure cost and schedule requirements are met.
  • Evaluate metrics to monitor Global Supply Chain Management (GSCM) health.
  • Conduct supplier assessments and develop/support ROMs/proposals.
  • Drive processes to successful completion in support of an aggressive delivery schedule.
  • Increase operational efficiencies for business area and program success.
  • Operate independently, recognizing and escalating when assistance is required.
  • Influence team decisions and outcomes of other program leaders.
  • Work in a cross‑functional team‑oriented environment with quality, engineering, operations, etc.
  • Manage multiple conflicting priorities with supplier managers.
  • Process information from multiple sources to achieve a successful outcome.
  • Maintain cadence for review of Key Performance Indicators and monitoring of metrics health.
Qualifications – Minimum
  • University degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience leading or participating in cross‑functional teams.
  • Material sales forecasting experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • EVMS certification.
  • Lead program management efforts, address issues, and resolve conflicts.
  • Financial knowledge and mechanics of strong supplier negotiations, and ability to influence acceptance of cost‑reduction opportunities.
  • Experience managing suppliers or projects.
  • Experience supporting supplier production readiness efforts and capacity assessments.
