Pratt & Whitney has an immediate remote opportunity within the GTF 30K Programs Accounting team in the P&W Commercial Finance organization for an Accounting Principal Specialist .

What You Will Do

Our department interacts with several other departments and will allow the candidate will exposure to the inner workings of the Commercial Engine Business including interactions with Aftermarket Accounting, Contract Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis (including 30K Program Finance), Lease Accounting, Poland Accounting Support, Service Contract and Warranty COE, as well as ongoing interactions with the JV partners and the sub-tier collaborators to IAE LLC and PW’s portion of IAE LLC, respectively.

Candidate will be responsible for delivering timely and accurate accounting and reporting deliverables supporting IAE LLC, the NEO program, and the Irkut program. Thoughtful communication and critical thinking skills as well as effective time management are critical for this role.

Job Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To

  • Preparing recurring and one-time journal entries as well as other monthly and quarterly closing activities.
  • Preparing account reconciliations on a monthly or quarterly basis, including communicating and presenting key reconciliations/schedules to IAE LLC accounting manager and senior manager.
  • Monitoring compliance and aiding issue resolution for MRO payment processes.
  • Preparing exhibits and compiling monthly partner reporting deliverables.
  • Preparing quarterly cash settlement deliverables for IAE LLC JV partners.
  • Initiating ePay payments to IAE LLC JV partners for Party Price as well as other IAE LLC cash initiatives.
  • Contributing to analysis and drafting responses to address IAE LLC JV partner entity inquiries.
  • Fulfilling EY Tax team data requests regarding IAE LLC VAT process.
  • Supporting inquiries from PwC, RTX Internal Audit, PW Internal Controls, and SOX testing teams.
  • Responding to ongoing ad hoc requests from 30K Program Finance, Group FP&A, and partner companies.
  • Diving into continuous improvement initiatives, including self-directed targets and group-led projects.
  • Systems Exposed To : MS Office products, SAP ERP, OneStream consolidation tool, and PowerBI.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance.
  • Strong MS Excel including advanced formulas and pivot tables.
  • Strong data analytics skills and interpersonal skills with ability to work with individuals and/or team at all levels.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access certain necessary systems.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience in the Aerospace industry.
  • Experience in SAP.

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
