Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Principal Specialist, Clinical Data Mgmt to lead data management for clinical studies, with emphasis on study execution, database design, and data oversight in a remote US-based role.

You will partner with cross-functional teams to enable timely decisions, ensure data integrity, and drive SOPs, training, and process improvements across the clinical trial lifecycle.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in computer science or related field with 8+ years pharma experience, or Master’s with 6+ years, or PhD with 4+ years.
• 3+ years in a supervisory or lead role.
• Thorough understanding of drug development and GCP.
• Hands-on programming in clinical databases (SAS, SQL, Medidata Rave).
• Experience with CDISC/CDASH/SDTM and SOPs/work instructions.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and project management.

Responsibilities

• Lead data management activities for clinical studies.
• Oversee First-In-Human study support, including protocol review and database design.
• Manage rapid data cleaning and real-time safety data review for early-phase studies.
• Collaborate across departments to ensure timely decisions in data management.
• Develop and implement data management SOPs and documents.

• Monitor timelines and coordinate data management tasks to ensure compliance.

For our client, we are seeking a Principal Specialist, Clinical Data Mgmt to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space.

This role will lead clinical data management activities for development programs, with a strong emphasis on study execution, database design, and high-quality data oversight. The position will partner closely with cross-functional teams to support timely decisions, ensure compliance, and strengthen data integrity throughout the clinical trial lifecycle. It is well suited for a hands-on clinical data management leader who can balance technical depth with coordination, training, and process improvement.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $130,800 – $179,000 annually

Responsibilities
