Job summary

The Talent Mine is seeking a Principal Engineer, Spacecraft Test Development for the greater Seattle, WA area. This role focuses on transitioning satellite tests into automated, production-ready processes to ensure repeatable, high-quality testing before shipping and launch.

Lead end-to-end test campaigns, develop GSE and automation, and work with Systems Engineering, Production AI&T, and spacecraft subsystems to minimize variability and risk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 12+ years in spacecraft integration and test or similar hardware test environments.
• Direct experience leading multiple spacecraft or launch vehicle build/test campaigns.
• Hands-on experience with spacecraft system test procedures, automation, and execution.
• Scripting/coding to automate satellite testing.
• Experience across electrical, mechanical, and software systems, with strong AIT principles.

Responsibilities

• Own the transition of test campaigns from engineering development to production-ready execution.
• Architect qualification and acceptance test campaigns across all subsystems.
• Plan, manage, and task cross-functional team members for test development.
• Translate requirements into efficient, executable, scalable test plans.
• Lead development of test plans, procedures, scripts, and automation frameworks.
• Coordinate with engineering, program management, and production for end-to-end validation.
