The Role

The Principal Solution Architect for Core Business Workflows is a functional and technical expert consulting with customers on implementing ServiceNow Workflows solutions based on best practices, with the goal of accelerating and driving customer business outcomes. These solutions include HR Service Delivery, Legal Service Delivery, Workplace/Facility Service Delivery, Employee Service Management, and Finance & Supply Chain Solutions. The role involves solving relevant customer challenges, supporting sales cycles, engaging directly with customers and partners, and advocating for customer needs within ServiceNow.

Architects guide customers through their digital transformation by leading solutioning and scoping discussions during pre-sales and ensuring successful delivery of strategic, multi-workflow projects. They provide thought leadership, best practices, and guidance to ensure long-term value from the ServiceNow platform, engaging with senior stakeholders to align business objectives with technological solutions and scaling ServiceNow expertise across teams. They establish governance frameworks, reduce technical debt, and enable scalable, sustainable solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pre-sales activities, including presentations, solutioning/scoping workshops, and effort estimation in collaboration with sales teams.
  • Lead project teams to deliver successful customer outcomes, focusing on workflow interconnectivity and governance.
  • Engage with senior leadership and CXOs on implementation roadmaps and change management.
  • Design solutions for common customer use cases and share these solutions broadly.
  • Build relationships with product owners and stakeholders to promote workflow capabilities and roadmaps.
  • Lead webinars, presentations, and learning events to showcase customer success stories.
  • Promote continuous improvement in delivery and engagement materials with the Customer & Partner Excellence Team.
  • Mentor team members and partners.
  • Travel up to 50% annually based on customer needs.

Qualifications:

  • Experience integrating AI into workflows, decision-making, or problem-solving.
  • Minimum 8 years of consulting or configuration experience with complex technologies, including integrations and portals.
  • At least 5 years of experience with ServiceNow Workflow Solutions.
  • Extensive experience with HR, Legal, Workplace/Facility, and Finance/Supply Chain software solutions.
  • Ability to influence senior leaders and provide thought leadership.
  • Customer-centric approach with excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency in designing visual and conceptual solutions, workflows, and diagrams.
  • Passion for learning new technologies and pushing technological boundaries.
  • ServiceNow Certifications (must obtain within specified timeframes):
    • Certified System Administrator
    • Certified Implementation Specialist – Human Resources
    • HR Professional Suite Certification
    • Delivery Accreditation – Legal Service Delivery
    • Delivery Accreditation – Workplace Service Delivery
    • Supplier Lifecycle Operations Accreditation
    • Sourcing and Procurement Operations Accreditation
    • Accounts Payable Operations Accreditation
  • Desired Certification: Certified Technical Architect (within 120 days).
