Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems seeks a Principal Software Quality Assurance Engineer to lead QA for the Sentinel program. The role is based in Roy, UT, with responsibilities across multiple software Scrum teams, focusing on process execution, testing, and delivery of software for weapon systems.

The role requires a DoD Secret clearance, a STEM degree, and experience building QA plans, metrics, and collaboration with stakeholders to drive continuous improvement. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's of Science degree required or equivalent experience.
• Active DoD Secret security clearance at time of application with ability to obtain SAP approval.
• Experience in developing and implementing Software Quality Assurance plans.
• Experience in developing and using metrics for process health and performance monitoring.
• Experience prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
• Experience liaising between local personnel, suppliers, and customers.
• Experience in evaluation, tracing, and analysis of requirements.

Responsibilities

• Attend meetings with scrum teams and create Jira dashboards to monitor progress and efficiency.
• Monitor process health, progress and stability metrics as needed.
• Become fluent in Jira, Confluence, Jazz, DOORS or other tools as needed.
• Advocate for Mission Assurance and articulate the program Value Proposition to stakeholders.
• Ensure GBSD software compliance with industry guidelines and contractual requirements while focusing on engagement and continuous improvement.
