**General Summary:**

Qualcomm is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal of Software Engineering to lead our Windows Platform initiatives. This role is crucial in driving the full life cycle of software architecture, development, commercialization, and deployment within the Windows OS ecosystem. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Windows OS, APIs, kernel, drivers, and the surrounding ecosystem, coupled with strong leadership qualities and the ability to execute product-oriented strategies in a fast-paced environment.

**Key Responsibilities:**

1. Lead and manage the Windows Platform initiatives, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of software solutions across the full life cycle of development. Provide strategic direction and technical leadership for all Windows development activities related to Snapdragon Windows Platform/SoC.
2. Oversee architecture, development, commercialization, DevOps, and deployment of Windows OS ecosystem projects.
3. Provide hands-on guidance in software development, resolve technical challenges, and drive platform efficiency.
4. Identify and mitigate technical risks, ensuring robust security, compliance, and operational efficiency.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement software strategies that align with Qualcomm’s business goals.
6. Ensure high-quality software development practices and maintain the highest standards of technical excellence.
7. Drive innovation and continuous improvement within the team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
8. Mentor and develop team members, supporting their professional growth and ensuring strong team performance.
9. Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to inform strategic decisions and maintain a competitive edge.

**Minimum Qualifications:**

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 8+ years of Software Engineering or related experience.
• OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 7+ years of relevant experience.
• OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 6+ years of relevant experience.

Plus,:

• 4+ years of work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

• Deep technical background in Microsoft Windows OS concepts, kernel, drivers, APIs, power management, performance, security, and DevOps.
• Expertise in Microsoft Windows device driver development, including WHQL Certification, Windows HLK, and associated ecosystems.
• Strong knowledge of Windows System architecture across heterogeneous CPU and SoC architectures, including PC/Client platforms.
• Experience with power and performance optimizations for Windows OS, SoC hardware, firmware, and BSP enhancements.
• Expertise in programming languages like C, C++, C#, Python, and other Windows technologies.
• Experience in software security, performance tuning, system architecture, and maintenance with Windows.
• Strong knowledge of ARM architecture and software ecosystems.
• Extensive experience leading teams through full software development cycles.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 15 years of software engineering experience, with at least 7 years in leadership roles.
