Job summary

Riverstone Enterprise Solutions is seeking a Principal Software Engineer in Columbia, Maryland to lead software development teams and drive design, performance, and documentation standards.

The role emphasizes advanced algorithms, database interfaces, and system integration across projects for the Intelligence Community, with strict security requirements and leadership responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Twenty (20) years' experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

• Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
• Debug existing software and correct defects.
• Design and code new software or modify existing software to add features.
• Coordinate software system installation and monitor equipment functioning to ensure specifications are met.
• Oversee one or more software development teams and ensure work follows the chosen process.
• Design and implement complex algorithms with timing and resource constraints.
• Develop or implement data queries and interfaces; review documentation and processes.
