Zusammenfassung

Liberty Mutual Insurance seeks a Principal Software Engineer to lead modernization of our Surety underwriting platform. This role blends hands-on engineering with broad architectural leadership in a hybrid work model.

Based in the Boston area with two days in the office at our Portsmouth, Boston, or Plano hubs, you’ll shape technical direction and drive scalable React, TypeScript, NestJS, and AWS solutions.

Qualifikationen

Extensive software engineering experience with principal-level impact.
Experience designing scalable, maintainable systems across teams.
Ability to lead technical discussions and drive design decisions.
Experience in agile environments with cross-functional partners.
Coach and influence engineers at multiple levels.
Modernization efforts and/or complex enterprise systems preferred.

Aufgaben

Shape the technical direction for Surety modernization from legacy to modern React/NestJS AWS platform.
Translate business needs into scalable, globally capable technical solutions.
Provide technical guidance and design support for contractor-led delivery teams.
Offer architectural leadership for one or more engineering teams.
Lead design discussions and influence system-level solutions.
Mentor engineers and raise the technical bar across teams.
