Principal Software Engineer, Rust - Capital One Software (Remote)

Job Description

What You’ll Do:

1. Design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions in full-stack development within Agile teams.
2. Stay current with technology trends, experiment with new technologies, participate in tech communities, and mentor others.
3. Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions that empower millions of Americans financially.
4. Utilize programming languages such as JavaScript, Java, HTML/CSS, TypeScript, SQL, Python, and Go, along with open-source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS tools.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Minimum 3 years of professional software engineering experience (internship experience excluded)

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years in JavaScript, Java, TypeScript, SQL, Python, or Go
• 1+ years experience with cloud services like AWS, GCP, or Azure
• 3+ years experience with open source frameworks
• 2+ years experience practicing Agile methodologies
• 2+ years experience programming in Rust, C, or C++
