Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to help build and operate OCI Search Service with OpenSearch. This individual-contributor role owns complex distributed-systems design and service excellence for a managed search and analytics platform.
OCI offers the opportunity to solve production-scale infrastructure problems where architecture, automated operations, security, and customer experience are inseparable. The role contributes to a managed service used for application search, log analytics, and observability workloads.
Leads platform projects crossing multiple teams, evolving runtimes or middleware patterns for interoperability and multi-tenant scale. Diagnoses and resolves complex cross-service issues; enforces versioning, compatibility, and safe rollout practices. Drives observability standards, capacity planning, and resilience patterns across several workloads. Produces migration guides and adoption playbooks that raise ecosystem consistency and developer experience.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $104,500 - $234,600 per year. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
