Advantest America Inc. in Lake Forest, CA is seeking a Principal Software Engineer responsible for software architecture, design, and integration across SLT, Burn-In, and HPC test platforms. You will work across testers, handlers, drivers, firmware, and data services to deliver robust software.

The role requires 12+ years of software leadership, deep C#/.NET expertise, and on-site work in Lake Forest. You will mentor engineers, lead reviews, and ensure reliable execution across components.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering with hands-on technical leadership.
• Deep expertise in C#/.NET, distributed systems, multithreading, APIs, and debugging.
• Experience owning architecture through implementation, integration, and production deployment.
• Willingness to work onsite at Lake Forest, CA office.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and develop software for SLT, Burn-In, and HPC test platforms.
• Drives test driven development in hardware-centric environments with focus on unit and integration tests.
• Remain approximately 70% hands-on in coding, integration, testing, debugging, and design.
• Develop cross-platform applications, SDKs, drivers, APIs, test programs, and equipment-control software.
• Develop distributed messaging, telemetry, data pipelines, and orchestration using Pulsar and PostgreSQL.
• Implement secure on-premises platform services using OIDC/OAuth 2.0.
• Integrate software with test hardware, firmware, electrical systems, and instrumentation.
• Mentor engineers and lead design/code reviews.
