The Principal Software Engineer will help build and enhance a data fabric to support mission‑critical GEOINT allocation and decision analytics. The role focuses on developing services and secure automation across the Data, Business Analytics, and Simulation layers while working in DevSecOps environments spanning multiple security domains.
You will contribute to scalable cloud‑native components, high‑availability performance targets, and AI/ML‑enabled workflows, collaborating with a team across multiple geographic sites. This is an onsite role located in Richardson, Texas.
Lead design and implementation of Python services supporting analytics, ETL pipelines, and semantic/knowledge‑graph workflows.
Develop secure CI/CD and DevSecOps automation, including containerized deployments and infrastructure‑as‑code.
Provide senior technical guidance, coaching, and design reviews for teammates.
Investigate and solve high‑complexity issues across cloud‑native systems, data‑fabric components, and platform operations.
Collaborate across Agile teams and contribute to program‑wide engineering standards and guardrails.
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 8 years of relevant experience.
Experience with Python development, including distributed systems or high‑performance data workflows.
Experience with DevSecOps tooling, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and build processes.
Experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift and cloud‑native microservices.

Experience with semantic data (RDF/SPARQL), ontology development, or knowledge‑graph systems.

Demonstrated ability to contribute to design initiatives, influence engineering decisions, and complex technical problems.
