The center specializes in developing Tactical Modes, Built-In Test (BIT), and Radar Interface software for Tactical Radar Systems, as well as pioneering radar software and signal processing technologies. The center also develops advanced sensor technologies and mission support capabilities for warfighters, including electro-optical, infrared, and electronic solutions across various platforms. Our software engineers are responsible for software architecture, design, and implementation for radar systems, signal processing, tracking, and resource management throughout the product lifecycle.
Raytheon has an opportunity for a Principal Software Engineer to join our Mission Systems Engineering Team in the DFW area. We’re seeking a highly capable Software Engineer with strong systems thinking, deep software architecture experience, and domain knowledge in advanced defense or aerospace systems. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, collaborates across disciplines, and can drive software design at the system-of-systems level.
This position is for a Principal Software Engineer who has professional experience in the development and implementation of software for real-time applications.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
