Job summary

Baxter International Inc. is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain software using the .NET stack. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions aligned with customer needs.

The role emphasizes strong technical leadership, modern software delivery practices, and mentorship in a collaborative, Agile environment. Flexibility includes a minimum onsite day policy and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development in .NET ecosystem.
• Experience with SQL Server or other relational DBs.
• Experience building HTTP-based services (REST/GraphQL).
• Hands-on ORM experience with EF/Dapper.
• Cloud experience in Azure and/or AWS.
• Knowledge of microservices and distributed systems.
• Familiar with DevOps, CI/CD and testing practices.
• Strong communication and collaboration in Agile teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable applications and services using C# and the .NET framework.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to define technical requirements.
• Develop RESTful APIs and GraphQL services to support modern needs.
• Write clean, maintainable code following engineering principles.
• Conduct code reviews and contribute to development standards.
• Troubleshoot defects, performance issues, and production problems.
• Partner with DevOps for CI/CD and automated testing.
• Mentor teammates and foster a culture of learning.
