Job summary

Cadence is seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our dynamic team in California. The ideal candidate will have advanced experience with LLM, ML, and big data technologies, including Langchain and Spark, and can translate requirements into robust architectures.

You'll design scalable systems, optimize performance, and work across distributed platforms using Python and C++, with strong SQL fundamentals. BS or MS in CS plus 8+ years of experience are preferred.

The ideal candidate will have advanced experience working with large language models (LLM), machine learning (ML), and big data technologies such as Langchain and Spark. This role requires the ability to translate business requirements into both high-level and detailed technical architectures, ensuring robust and scalable solutions. Candidates should demonstrate solid expertise in architecture design and performance tuning, as well as a deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.

Key Qualifications

• Advanced experience with LLM/ML/big data platforms, including Langchain, Spark, etc.
• Proven ability to translate requirements into high-level and detailed architectures.
• Strong background in architecture design and performance tuning.
• In-depth knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
• Development experience in Python and C++.
• Solid understanding of database fundamentals with high proficiency in SQL.
• Enthusiastic, highly motivated, and able to work collaboratively within diverse teams.
• Comprehensive understanding of various technologies and frameworks, with the ability to integrate them into practical solutions.
• EE/Semiconductor industry/EDA background is a plus.

Education & Experience

• BS degree in Computer Science or related field, plus 8+ years of industry experience.
• MS degree in Computer Science or related field, plus 6+ years of industry experience.

The annual salary range for California is $136,500 to $253,500. You may also be eligible to receive incentive compensation: bonus, equity, and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the salary range is a guideline and compensation may vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
