Your responsibilities will include:

  2. Participating in all phases of the software development lifecycle: analysis, technical design, planning, development, testing/CICD, release, and post-production/escalation support.
  3. Building partnerships with key stakeholders, evangelizing the platform's use, and developing a roadmap for future development.
  4. Participating in in-person Nextdoor events such as trainings, off-sites, volunteer days, and team-building exercises.
  5. Building in-person relationships with team members and contributing to Nextdoor's company culture.

  2. Deep understanding of data infrastructure, governance, compliance, and enterprise data usage.
  3. Knowledge of SQL, Spark/pySpark, and other data processing tools.
  4. Fundamentals of computer science: data structures, algorithms, performance complexity, and optimization.
  5. Software engineering fundamentals: version control systems (e.g., Git, GitHub), workflows, and ability to write production-ready code.
  6. Knowledge of data science and machine learning tools and frameworks.
  7. Familiarity with experimentation methodologies such as A/B testing, multivariate testing, and statistical analysis.
  8. Experience deploying scalable software.
  9. Experience with cloud technologies, particularly AWS.
  10. Strong oral and written communication skills.
  11. Ability to conduct meetings, make professional presentations, and explain complex concepts to non-technical users.
